ABOUT VASILIS
Born in Athens, Vasilis has been involved in the drinks business for the last 17 years. Honing his craft at iconic Greek bars such as Pere Ubu, Eclipse, Aperitif and The Gin Joint, it was the opening of his bar The Clumsies, Athens which secured his reputation as a global industry innovator.
The Clumsies has been on the World’s 50 Best Bars list for nine consecutive years, and has been nominated twice and subsequently won Best High Volume International Bar at The Spirited Awards, 2018. In 2023, he opened Line in Athens which immediately was placed at No.12 in the World’s 50 Best Bars list in the same year and rose six places in 2024.
His personal recognition includes nominations as ‘’Top 10 International Bartender of the Year” in both 2017 and 2019 at The Spirited Awards.
