JOB DESCRIPTION
Global Bartending is a world-leading drinks and experiences agency working with premium spirits, beer, soft drinks and coffee brands globally. We design and deliver award-winning events, brand activations, content, talent programmes and strategic experiences.
As the business continues to scale rapidly, we are looking for a Senior Project Director to bring structure, consistency and commercial oversight across our growing volume of work. This role is primarily internal facing, focused on ensuring projects are resourced, managed and delivered to the highest standard across the agency.
The Role
The Senior Project Director will oversee 30–50 live projects across the business at any one time, acting as the central point of control for delivery, resourcing, timelines, systems and financial performance.
This role exists to be the engine room of Global Bartending — enabling creative, production and strategy teams to do their best work by providing clarity, structure and strong operational foundations. While there may be occasional client interaction, this is not a client-facing account role.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Project Oversight & Delivery
Maintain oversight of 30–50 concurrent projects across all departments
Ensure every project has clear scope, timelines, deliverables and ownership
Track progress across all live work, proactively identifying risks and bottlenecks
Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to agreed quality standards
Resource Management & Workforce Planning
Own resource management across the business, allocating internal teams based on skills,
availability and project needsSource, onboard and manage subcontractors, freelancers and specialist leads depending
on project requirementsBuild and maintain a trusted network of freelance and subcontract talent
Balance workloads across internal teams and external resources to ensure efficiency
and sustainability
Support department leads with forward planning and capacity forecasting
Financial Oversight & Commercial Control
Own and oversee project budgets, forecasts and margins across all projects
Ensure spend is tracked accurately and projects remain commercially viable
Approve costs, manage financial risk and flag margin issues early
Work closely with finance to support invoicing, forecasting and cash flow visibility
Internal Project Management Systems & Processes
Own, manage and continuously improve internal project management systems and tools
Ensure consistent use of systems across the business
Develop clear workflows, templates and reporting that support scale
Provide visibility of project status, resourcing and financial health to senior leadership
New Business & Tender Support (Internal)
Oversee the internal tender and pitch process from a delivery and resourcing perspective
Ensure new work is correctly scoped, resourced and budgeted before being confirmed
Protect delivery teams from poorly scoped or under-resourced projects
Support leadership in improving win rate and project set-up quality
Quality Control & Creative Standards
Ensure all projects meet Global Bartending’s standards for world-class delivery
Maintain a strong understanding of how premium brand experiences are curated and executed
Sense-check timelines, budgets and approaches to ensure feasibility without compromising creativity
Bring a deep understanding of drinks culture across spirits, beer, soft drinks and coffee
Internal Leadership
Act as a senior internal leader and trusted partner to department heads
Bring structure, clarity and calm to a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Support the ongoing evolution of how the business operates as it scales
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Essential
5+ years’ experience in a senior project management, resource management or operations role
Background in a creative, experiential or agency-led business
Proven experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
Strong experience in resource management, including internal teams and freelancers
Excellent financial and commercial understanding, including budget ownership
Experience owning and running project management systems and processes
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
Highly Desirable
Experience in event production or large-scale experiential delivery
Experience working with premium, lifestyle or drinks brands
Background in a fast-growing or scaling agency environment
