JOB DESCRIPTION

Global Bartending is a world-leading drinks and experiences agency working with premium spirits, beer, soft drinks and coffee brands globally. We design and deliver award-winning events, brand activations, content, talent programmes and strategic experiences.

As the business continues to scale rapidly, we are looking for a Senior Project Director to bring structure, consistency and commercial oversight across our growing volume of work. This role is primarily internal facing, focused on ensuring projects are resourced, managed and delivered to the highest standard across the agency.

The Role

The Senior Project Director will oversee 30–50 live projects across the business at any one time, acting as the central point of control for delivery, resourcing, timelines, systems and financial performance.

This role exists to be the engine room of Global Bartending — enabling creative, production and strategy teams to do their best work by providing clarity, structure and strong operational foundations. While there may be occasional client interaction, this is not a client-facing account role.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Project Oversight & Delivery

  • Maintain oversight of 30–50 concurrent projects across all departments

  • Ensure every project has clear scope, timelines, deliverables and ownership

  • Track progress across all live work, proactively identifying risks and bottlenecks

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to agreed quality standards

Resource Management & Workforce Planning

  • Own resource management across the business, allocating internal teams based on skills,
    availability and project needs

  • Source, onboard and manage subcontractors, freelancers and specialist leads depending
    on project requirements

  • Build and maintain a trusted network of freelance and subcontract talent

  • Balance workloads across internal teams and external resources to ensure efficiency
    and sustainability

  • Support department leads with forward planning and capacity forecasting

Financial Oversight & Commercial Control

  • Own and oversee project budgets, forecasts and margins across all projects

  • Ensure spend is tracked accurately and projects remain commercially viable

  • Approve costs, manage financial risk and flag margin issues early

  • Work closely with finance to support invoicing, forecasting and cash flow visibility

Internal Project Management Systems & Processes

  • Own, manage and continuously improve internal project management systems and tools

  • Ensure consistent use of systems across the business

  • Develop clear workflows, templates and reporting that support scale

  • Provide visibility of project status, resourcing and financial health to senior leadership

New Business & Tender Support (Internal)

  • Oversee the internal tender and pitch process from a delivery and resourcing perspective

  • Ensure new work is correctly scoped, resourced and budgeted before being confirmed

  • Protect delivery teams from poorly scoped or under-resourced projects

  • Support leadership in improving win rate and project set-up quality

Quality Control & Creative Standards

  • Ensure all projects meet Global Bartending’s standards for world-class delivery

  • Maintain a strong understanding of how premium brand experiences are curated and executed

  • Sense-check timelines, budgets and approaches to ensure feasibility without compromising creativity

  • Bring a deep understanding of drinks culture across spirits, beer, soft drinks and coffee

Internal Leadership

  • Act as a senior internal leader and trusted partner to department heads

  • Bring structure, clarity and calm to a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Support the ongoing evolution of how the business operates as it scales

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Essential

  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior project management, resource management or operations role

  • Background in a creative, experiential or agency-led business

  • Proven experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously

  • Strong experience in resource management, including internal teams and freelancers

  • Excellent financial and commercial understanding, including budget ownership

  • Experience owning and running project management systems and processes

  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail

Highly Desirable

  • Experience in event production or large-scale experiential delivery

  • Experience working with premium, lifestyle or drinks brands

  • Background in a fast-growing or scaling agency environment

Personal Attributes

  • Highly structured, calm and solutions-focused

  • Strong people skills with the confidence to make clear decisions

  • Commercially minded but creatively sympathetic

  • Comfortable operating behind the scenes to enable others to succeed

  • Passionate about delivering world-class work through great processes

This role is fundamental to Global Bartending’s next phase of growth. You will create the operational foundation that allows creative ambition to scale — ensuring the business remains profitable, organised and world-class as project volume increases
