Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Apply a strategic lens to all advocacy activity, ensuring programmes are insight-led, brand-aligned, and commercially relevant

  • Translate brand objectives into clear advocacy strategies and activation frameworks

  • Act as a trusted cultural voice and ambassador for Global Bartending and partner brands

  • Identify emerging talent, trends, and movements within the UK bar scene and translate them into strategic opportunity

Brand Activation & Delivery

  • Oversee and deliver advocacy programmes including events, bar takeovers, guest shifts, trainings, competitions, and experiential moments

  • Ensure all activity is executed to a high standard and reflects the strategic intent behind the programme

  • Balance creativity with professionalism across all touchpoints

Education & Content

  • Contribute to content development where relevant, ensuring messaging is clear, credible, and culturally aligned

  • Maintain consistency across advocacy, education, and experiential outputs

Reporting & Insight

Measure effectiveness of advocacy programmes against agreed KPIs

  • Provide clear reporting, insight, and recommendations to clients and internal teams

  • Feed learnings back into future strategy and proposal development

The Role

The Senior Advocacy Manager is a senior, strategic role responsible for shaping and delivering advocacy programmes across global markets. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, creative ideation, and credible on-trade execution.

Beyond managing relationships and delivering activity, the role plays a key part in developing brand strategies, building compelling decks and proposals, and creating tailored advocacy solutions for a wide range of premium and luxury drinks brands.

You will be expected to think like a strategist, act like a cultural insider, and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively—both internally and to clients.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • 5+ years’ experience in the drinks industry, with advocacy, brand, agency, or on-trade experience

  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to think beyond execution

  • Proven experience building professional brand decks and presentations

  • Confidence developing creative proposals and tailored solutions for different brands

  • Deep understanding of the global on-trade and premium spirits landscape

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills

  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple projects

  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours

Desirable

  • Agency or spirits brand background

  • Former bar manager, or brand ambassador

  • Experience working with luxury or premium brands

  • Strong creative or conceptual thinking skills

What We’re Looking For

  • A strategic thinker who understands culture and commerce

  • Someone equally comfortable building decks as building relationships

  • A creative problem-solver who can adapt ideas across multiple brands

  • A credible industry voice with a polished, professional approach
