As AI redefines how brands create, activate and communicate, we are establishing a new senior leadership role to embed responsible, innovative and commercially valuable AI across the business.  


The Role: Communications Manager

Global Bartending is building a new communications arm designed to redefine how premium drinks brands connect with trade, consumers and culture. As the communications landscape rapidly evolves - driven by social-first storytelling, AI-powered content, creator ecosystems and disruptive marketing - we are seeking a Communications Manager to lead this transformation. 

This is a senior, strategic role tasked with designing and delivering an entirely new approach to communications for premium spirits, beer and beverage brands. You will sit at the intersection of PR, social, AI technology, experiential and guerrilla marketing - creating bold, relevant and measurable campaigns that speak to today’s bartenders, tastemakers and consumers, while anticipating where the industry is heading next. 

This role will create a scalable, efficient communications function within Global Bartending, shaping how we advise clients, package our services and lead the market from 2026 onwards. 


Role Purpose

The Communications Manager will: 

  • Build and lead a new communications capability within Global Bartending 

  • Reimagine trade and consumer communications for premium drinks brands 

  • Integrate PR, social media, AI tools, creator strategy and disruptive marketing into one cohesive offering 

  • Position Global Bartending as a thought leader in next-generation brand communication 


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communications Leadership 

  • Define a modern communications strategy tailored to premium drinks brands in a social-first, AI-enabled world 

  • Develop integrated frameworks combining trade PR, consumer PR, social, creator partnerships and experiential storytelling 

  • Advise clients on how to remain culturally relevant and commercially impactful in a rapidly changing landscape 

Trade & Consumer PR Evolution 

  • Move beyond traditional PR models to deliver agile, culturally connected and content-driven narratives 

  • Create new approaches to bartender, on-trade and trade media engagement 

  • Identify emerging platforms, communities and voices that shape brand credibility and influence 

Social Media & Content Strategy 

  • Lead social-first thinking across campaigns, ensuring content is platform-native, creator-led and performance-driven 

  • Shape always-on and campaign-led content strategies aligned with brand, culture and occasions 

  • Collaborate with creative and production teams to deliver high-quality, cut-through storytelling 

AI & Emerging Technology Integration 

  • Leverage AI tools for content creation, social listening, sentiment analysis, PR measurement and workflow efficiency 

  • Explore new technologies shaping brand communication, from AI-generated content to predictive trend insights 

  • Ensure AI is used creatively, ethically and strategically to enhance impact and scalability 

Guerrilla & Disruptive Marketing 

  • Develop unconventional, high-impact ideas that cut through noise and spark conversation 

  • Work closely with experiential teams to amplify live activations through earned media, social and digital storytelling 

  • Turn moments into movements through bold thinking and cultural relevance 

Team Leadership 

  • Build processes, toolkits and packages that make communications a scalable Proposition. 

  • Lead external partners, freelancers and creators as required 

  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership, brand directors and experiential teams 


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in communications, PR, social or integrated marketing -

    ideally within premium brands, drinks, hospitality, culture or lifestyle 

  • Strong understanding of trade, bartender culture and premium brand storytelling 

  • Demonstrated experience leading or shaping social-first and digital communications strategies 

  • High level of curiosity around AI, emerging platforms and future-facing marketing tools 

  • A strategic thinker who is equally comfortable ideating creatively and executing at pace 

  • Confident, collaborative leader who can build something new from the ground up
