ABOUT EMANUELE
Emanuele “Lele” Mensah is an award-winning bartender based in London, recognised for his thoughtful approach to flavour, balance, and storytelling in modern mixology. Originally from
Ghana and raised in Italy, he has worked at some of the world’s best bars, including the Connaught
Bar and Lyaness, both featured on The World’s 50 Best Bars list.
Lele placed in the Top 3 at World Class GB in 2023 and 2024, before winning the title in
2025. He went on to represent the United Kingdom at the World Class Global Finals in Toronto,
finishing among the Top 3 bartenders in the world. His work focuses on accessibility, sustainability,
and emotional connection, creating drinks that show how much meaning can come from fewer ingredients.
Lele has authored four books and through his platform Cocktails with Lele,
he continues to explore creativity, technique, and the human side of hospitality.
