The duo behind London Cocktail Week – the largest cocktail event of its kind in the world – and consultants, contributors and connectors for the drinks industry, Hannah Sharman-Cox and Siobhan Payne are two of the leading faces of the global cocktail scene.
London Cocktail Week began in 2010 and to date the festival has welcomed hundreds of thousands of guests, inspired a new generation of Londoners to demand better drinking experiences and injected millions of pounds of revenue directly back into the London hospitality trade.
London Cocktail Week was named within the top 20 most defining moments of the London bar scene over the last 20 years by Cocktail Credentials and won “Best Drinks Event” at The Drinks Business Awards 2019. Hannah and Siobhan were asked to speak at P(Our) Symposium 2019 and Imbibe Live 2019, tapping into their unrivalled insight into consumer and trade drinks trends. In addition the pair are regularly invited to judge competitions, vote on global panels and represent the London hospitality scene at high profile industry events across the world as well as contribute expert comment on behalf of the drinks industry to the national press.
Hannah started in hospitality back in 2002 at the award-winning members club Milk & Honey, London and after a few more venue launches with Match Bar Group, she switched from bars to books and brands, working alongside Simon Difford from 2007. Siobhan started her career in PR in 2009 working for major drinks brands and when she joined Hannah at diffordsguide.com, they worked together to create an agency which handled the press launches of St-Germain elderflower liqueur, Portobello Road Gin and Kamm & Sons British aperitif – all whilst running London Cocktail Week.
In recent years, they have created other successful offshoot festivals – London Wine Week, London Beer Week, Espresso Martini Fest and Scotch Whisky Weekend to name a few – and went on to create an online home for all these events at DrinkUp.London.
The pair have worked on almost all elements of brand building for both a trade and consumer audience and worked as both client and agency in all scenarios, and so are well placed to add value across a number of areas, bringing their vast knowledge of the brand, bar and consumer landscape in the UK, alongside their unrivalled black book of industry contacts. With a proven track record of working together to deliver globally-recognised campaigns – their partnership means quick, efficient, creative results and the reassurance that two heads are better than one.
